Yakima Union Gospel Mission sued over alleged child sex abuse

June 17th, 2019 – The Union Gospel Mission of Yakima is facing a lawsuit over allegations a male employee repeatedly sexually abused a little boy in the mid-1990s. The lawsuit says the employee groomed the boy for sexual abuse — starting when he was nine-years-old — and that the abuse took place at the mission itself.

Malpractice Reform Does not Effect Intensity of Care

October 16th, 2014 – The New England Journal of Medicine published an article discussing three states, Texas, Georgia, and South Carolina that set out to reform its malpractice standard to reduce what it saw to be unnecessary care and wasteful spending. The results of the study concluding that by changing the malpractice standard for physicians from negligence to gross negligence had “little effect on the intensity of practice, as measured by image rates, average charge, or hospital admission rates.”

Washington Law Center Opens Tacoma Location

July 1st, 2014 – WLC opened its doors in Tacoma, centrally located off of I5 and adds a number of practice areas including: personal injury, premise liability, abuse and neglect, insurance bad faith (IFCA), and government liability. WLC’s Tukwila location remains opened and is expanding as well. With the Tacoma location, WLC added an additional partner, litigation department and team.
